Electronic Press Kits, EPKs for short, are a major part of the process of pitching your business, client or Brand. An Electronic Press Kit is a promotional package that holds all information about your brand such as accolades, social media stats, features, services, prices, contact info and a short bio. You can use EPK’s for pitching to venues, sponsorships, journalists, podcasts, collaboration and more. The major factors to keep in mind when creating an effective EPK is making it short, easy to read, and have all important information with clickable links if available. Want to elevate your pitching process with a fancy Press kit? Here are 3 basic things to include in your Press Kit!

Slogan, Mission, or Catch Phrase on the front page of the EPK!

Slogan, Mission, or Catch Phrase will leave more of an impression and explain more about you than a paragraph bio. A short phrase is easy to remember and will draw the reader's attention to your EPK. When making your Electronic Press Kit make sure your phrase matches the overall tone of the press kit, and matches your bio.

Social Media Stats and Accolades!

The Social Media Stats and Accolades is where you want to bring your best foot forward. Big Awards and Features go on the top while the smaller wins go on the bottom of the list. Along with the Listing, be sure to copy and paste the titles of said features/awards it will save some research time for the person you are pitching to. Along with including basic social media stats (Followers, views, likes, comments, etc), be sure to calculate your engagement rate under your basic stats. You can find multiple engagement rate formulas online or wait for a blog post about engagement rate from us.

Bio and Services

A short Bio should include what you are known for, a major accomplishment, what you can provide, and what sets your brand apart from others in the industry. Services can be included in the bio if it can be condensed but for brands that have extensive services, you can make this a separate topic in the EPK.

EPK’s are a great way to enhance your main pitch to a professional level and to get additional information to the media/sponsor you are pitching to!
